A remarkable story that honors the life of someone we hold so near and dear in our hearts. I am beyond honored to share this story with my children one day thanks to Angie’s bravery. #halliemattered#sayhername

I think you should consider changing the recommended age for this book. I bought for young grandchildren, but am not going to gift it. I follow your podcast and was happy to support by purchasing the books. After reading it however, it feels too dark for young children. I will reconsider as they get older.

Thank you so much for the feedback .. what are your thoughts on the age range? I’m new at children’s books. I read it to 2nd graders and they were really engaged..

A beautiful book honoring an amazing, beautiful girl. Hallie will live on and continue to positively impact many lives, young and old, through Angie’s work. Angie and The Crew are INSPIRING! Love love love!

Beautiful book, I respectfully disagree with the comment about it being not suitable for young children. I’ve read it to my 3 year old daughter many times who, for now, just sees the pretty pictures. I hope, one day, she can understand the true meaning of it. Our kids unfortunately will deal with people trying to “take their feathers” in life, we can only pray not to the extent Hallie’s were. Life is not all sunshine and rainbows, which the book depicts the raw part of life. Our children are going to go through trials and tribulations. We can only hope they turn into a beautiful Phoenix after being hurt and damaged, just as Hallie did in the story.

Thank you Morgan — that is exactly the message.. Whether we are a few years old or 45, this book explains that even though life will throw you challenges, strength is gained from the headwinds.. You pick your thief.. They are out there in many forms! We need to talk about it more!!
